Clinical Supervision
What You Can Expect from
Working With Me
Embarking on the 4+2 or 5+1 pathway is a significant and transformative step in any provisional psychologist’s career. They are years that bring both challenge and growth; and the right supervision can make all the difference in shaping a strong, ethical, and confident early-career psychologist.
As a Board Approved Supervisor, I offer supervision that is collaborative, structured, and grounded in real-world clinical experience. I know the internship years can feel overwhelming at times: juggling placement hours, case reports, assessments, and Board requirements; all while building your professional identity and clinical confidence. My goal is to provide a supervision space that supports you through this.
A Supportive and Reflective Space
Supervision with me is more than a checklist of competencies. It is a space to reflect, question, grow, and be supported. I provide a warm and professional environment where you can bring both your clinical questions and your moments of uncertainty. I encourage openness, self-reflection, and a curious mindset.
Together, we explore not only what you are doing but how and why; developing the clinical reasoning, ethical thinking, and self-awareness that underpin sound psychological practice.
What We Will Cover
Supervision is tailored to your needs and the requirements of the Board. Typically, we will cover:
Case formulation and intervention planning across a range of presentations.
Assessment tools and report writing, including feedback delivery.
Therapeutic frameworks, with space to explore your evolving therapeutic style.
Ethical dilemmas and professional boundaries.
Working with risk and managing client safety.
Cultural responsiveness and inclusive practice.
Reflective practice, countertransference, and self-care strategies.
We also regularly check in on your progress towards Board competencies and documentation. I am here to help you feel organised and supported; not just clinically, but logistically.
My Approach
I bring an eclectic, evidence-based approach to both therapy and supervision. My clinical work spans mood disorders, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, neurodivergence, and complex psychosocial presentations. I draw on frameworks such as CBT, ACT, schema therapy, and interpersonal approaches; and supervision often includes conversations about how and when to apply these flexibly.
Importantly, I see supervision as a collaborative process. I will challenge you when needed, but always in a way that is respectful, kind, and focused on your development. You can expect structure, feedback, and guidance; but also room to find your own voice as a therapist.
Online and In-Person Options
I offer both in-person and online supervision, depending on your needs and location. Whether you are in a private practice, school, hospital, or community setting, I will work with you to ensure supervision is meaningful, relevant, and grounded in your day-to-day clinical work.
Feel free to get in touch to discuss how we might work together.
